History
From DPBwiki
Once, long ago, there was a mailing list called 'd-pittsburgh'. This was (nominally) a list for the local Camarilla domain in Pittsburgh. However, the list traffic was eclipsed by other random bullshit, stupid links and other internet crap. Sick of the bullshit, Chuck suggested:
Which reminds me, we really should create d-pittsburgh-bullshit so that those four or five of us who like to bullshit on this list can choose to do so elsewhere... and those that choose to listen to us can also choose to do so elsewhere. ;-) -Chuck
Naturally, Adam followed the suggestion and made an egroup.
So it was said, and so it was done (cause egroups is too easy). Feel free to subscribe by going to http://www.egroups.com/subscribe/d-pittsburgh-bullcrap?referer=1 (Apparently egroups won't let you create groups with 'profane' names, and apparently shit qualifies) -Adam
This is why Chuck is the daddy (by implanting the seed) and Adam is the mommy (by bearing the child). (This should not be confused with John-Eric, who is your daddy.)
Egroups would not allow the word 'bullshit' to be included, so the result was d-pittsburgh-bullcrap. Egroups has since been devoured by Yahoogroups, ushering in a new age of out-of-order and lost posts.
On that fateful day, the group was joined by Adam, Chad, Chuck, Erik, Jameel, Melody, and Sameer. FZ! would have been there that day, but he was away from his email that day. Others soon followed.
Many others. It wasn't "four or five" as Chuck had suggested. It was dozens of people. It wasn't long before DPB had 25 members, then 50 members, and now 196 members.
There's not much else to be said about the history of DPB without attempting to go over the list thread by thread... and I'll be fucked if I'm going to do that.
